Public Transportation

Whether you’re traveling near or far, there are many options when Downtown Spokane is your destination.

If you come downtown in your car, park and enjoy the city as a pedestrian. If you are heading for a particular destination and feel confused in any way, look for Security Ambassadors, in blue and black colored uniforms, for assistance.

Located 5 miles west of downtown, Spokane International Airport provides 24 gates on three concourses and welcomes 10 commercial airlines. From the airport you can rent a car or shuttle into one of downtown’s many lodging destinations.

Try a cost-effective and adventurous alternative to air travel by riding the rail into Downtown Spokane. Open 24 hours a day, Spokane’s Amtrak Station lands travelers in the heart of downtown, close to many regional destinations.

Spokane Transit Authority (STA)

Commuting into downtown is easier when you let STA do the driving for you. Read the paper, browse the internet or simply rest with CityTicket. For only $35 per month you can park at the Arena parking lot and receive a ride to and from Downtown. CityTicket is a partnership between the STA, the Arena, and the BID.

The Plaza-Arena shuttle travels to the center of Downtown to the STA Plaza with many convenient stops along the way. During peak hours, the shuttle departs every few minutes with service every 20 minutes throughout the day. Parking is available Monday through Friday, plus on weekends if no events are scheduled at the Arena.

For more information on City Ticket or other bus services to downtown or Park and Ride locations, visit the STA website.
